for american craft beer week we’ll be putting only special release beers on-tap in our tasting room. the following brewers reserve beers will be available starting tuesday the 17th.

lambic — 2nd runnings from our quad inoculated with the asheville air
amber
belgian ale with imladris farm’s* jelly
falconer’s rye — a hoppy roggenbier
nb — a belgian orange

Craggie Brewing Kicks Off American Craft Beer Week Partnering
With Café Azalea For A 5 Course Beer Dinner
Monday, May 16th at Cafe’ Azalea – 1011 E. Tunnel Road, Asheville

Join us for this refreshing culinary collaboration!
Owner/Brewmaster Bill’s beer line-up with
Owner/Chef Judd’s menu.

An INNOVATIVE Pairing ~

*Toubab Brewe: Bavarian-Style Zwickel Beer — Shrimp skewer, jalapeno cheddar cornbread, green apple & radish salad
*Roggenbier: Rye Lager — Pastrami cured salmon, house pretzel, caper-mustard sauce
*Herkulean: A Dark IPA — Smoked chicken ravioli with beercheese sauce
*Burning Barrel: Bourbon Chipotle Porter — Grilled merguez sausage, quinoa pilaf, flageolet beans
*Antebellum Ale: An 1820s American Ale — Beer float with Antebellum Ice Cream (another sumptuous union… Craggie & The Hop Ice Cream Café) and ginger molasses pizzelle served in a Craggie Willi (Willibecher), which is yours to keep!

Dinner starts promptly at 6:00pm

THE MUMBLES are a New Orleans, LA based Avant-Soul Duo: A tiny band with a mighty sound. Using two keyboards and a drum kit, they combine soul music with avant and old time jazz to create “pop songs in the key of partying down” (Time Out New York). Keysman Keith Burnstein and drummer Ethan Shorter met in the rhythm section of a 14 piece hip hop orchestra, soon striking out on their own in late 2006 to write tunes that would become Mumbles mainstays. As a duo, the boys distilled songs to their essence, delighting in a dynamic that “…marries the bedroom intimacy of a singer-songwriter, with the expansive musical prowess of a psych jazz outfit” (Seven Days Vermont).

After the completion of their first record, “Once Eponymous”, in 2008, The Mumbles have been touring the country on the heels of a national AAA radio campaign, with fine stations nationwide playing the disc in heavy rotation. Critics have called the break-out single, ‘Bite-Size (Brawn w/ Brio)’, “Lounge music for the super-hip” (Roanoke Times) with a vibe that is “…equal parts Tom Waits gruffness and Woody Allen pathos” (The L Magazine).
